The red boards with white edges are well-known to each model train lover. They are employed in places where no buffer stops can be used, like on shed gates, on fence gates, on track endings, on work sites and other obstacles.

The special thing about the safety stop signals is, that on blind spots or in badly lit areas they are aditionally equipped with a red signal lamp. This is exactly what our article 5051 simulates.

Enclosed in the delivery is an accurately cut signal board and one of our red micro LEDs. The connecting wires of the LED are two very thin 0,1 mm magnet wires in a very long version of more than 10 cm. You can drill a very small hole of about 0,5 mm for example in a shed gate and thread the thin wires through it. Then you first glue the LED on the shed gate and afterwards the signal board exactly beneath it. Now lead the wires along the gate inside the shed. Since the wires are very thin and flexible, the gate can still be opened and closed without any problem. The wires are long enough to lead them through another small hole in the floor of the shed below the surface area of your train facility. There you connect them to the enclosed component 7200 that provides the LED with the appropriate voltage. The current of the component can be regulated from 0 to approximately 10 mA. So the brightness can be continously adjusted exactly as desired. For more information, read the instructions that come with each product and also can be downloaded futher down below. The component is equipped with plug contacts on the input side, and with screw contacts on the output side, so you do not have to solder below your train facility. With a simple screw, the component can be affixed to any wooden plate. It can be operated with any direct or alternating current between 6 - 16 volt and in case of voltage fluctuation at the transformer, e.g. when moving a track switch, the component provides for a constant voltage on the LED.

Enclosed in the delivery of article 5050 are an extra 10 adjoiningly printed warning signs of the safety stop signal. These can be used for the opposite gate or wherever else needed. On a soft pad, they can easily be cut out with a carpet cutter. For those who still do not have much practice doing this, we recommend to copy the original and then do the first tries with the copy. The warning signs should be cut out in a way that around the red warning sign a white edge of about 0,3 mm is left.

Our warning signs are made by high-quality laser print with a satin finished color. The backside is printed black-green and represents the dark antirust priming coat of the original.
